A worldview is a set of claims that purport to be based on ultimate reality.

Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project

We live in challenging times, and we experience these challenges personally in our families, our churches, and our communities. Everyday, it is more and more difficult to live out our faith in every area of our lives. This fact is reflected in a recent study by the Barna Research Group which revealed a stunning statistic — only 9% of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.

Because of this, today’s believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life’s ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation.

To help counter this slide within the Body of Christ, Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum designed to equip believers with a comprehensive biblical worldview. Taught by Dr. Del Tackett, President of Focus on the Family Institute, this home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.

Practically and personally, participants will be re-introduced to the truth claims of God and equipped to enter the world around them and make an eternal impact on the culture. Are you being called to be one of the first generation of facilitators to lead this innovative small group?

We need your help to make it happen.

Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project training conference is coming to a city near you. This training conference will equip and provide you with 12 lessons in an easy DVD format to facilitate your own worldview small group. Imagine the impact a relationship-oriented study like this could have on your community — and eventually the world.

I’d be interested to know exactly what constitutes a “biblical worldview”. I’m pretty sure that’s my approach, but I’m not sure I could describe exactly what a biblical worldview means…
